About SOS Promotions
The Bowl Festival is organised and delivered by SOS Promotions event organisers. SOS is not-for-profit, a community interest company.
SOS Promotions has been running the Bowl festival as an annual music event for the local community since 1999. It is a two-day event held traditionally over the last weekend of July in the concert bowl area in Crystal Palace Park and admission is free (suggested donation £1).
The festival runs from 12.00 - 7pm on both days, with a full programme of events including the best South London bands on stage, arts & crafts stalls, childrens' attractions and a licensed bar.
The Bowl, which is now in its ninth year, takes place on the site of the legendary Crystal Palace Garden Parties which ran from 1971 to 1980.
Objective
Unsigned bands and South London are our main focus. We aim to expose up-and-coming bands to the local people, forge links within the community and put South London back on the map for its reputation of producing successful bands to an appreciative and supportive audience. The Bowl is the only large-scale music event in Bromley that caters for the whole of the community.
